Covid-19: Peru reports 403 infections and 18 deaths in the last 24 hours | News
The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported that in the last 24 hours, 403 positive cases of covid-19 and 18 deaths from this disease were reported in the country.
Since the pandemic started Until 10:00 p.m. yesterday, samples were processed for 19 million 162 thousand 650 people due to covid-19, obtaining 2 million 203 thousand 310 confirmed positive cases and 16 million 959 thousand 340 negative ones.
Only on November 2, the results of 34,868 people sampled were recorded, of which 403 were confirmed symptomatic cases of that day.
Hospitalized and discharged
On the other hand, the Minsa reported that to date there are 3,014 hospitalized patients by covid-19, of which 874 are in intensive care units (ICU) with mechanical ventilation.
Of the total confirmed cases, 2 million 182 thousand 302 people completed their period of home isolation or they were discharged from a health facility.
The Ministry regrets to inform that, to date, covid-19 has caused the death of 200,326 citizens in the country and expresses its heartfelt condolences to family members at this time of pain.
In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Government recommends physical distancing of at least one meter from another person, wearing a mask, washing hands frequently, and wearing face shields in public transportation.
