The government has set a target to install 20,000 EV charging stations across the entire state of Tamil Nadu by 2031. Under this initiative, charging stations will be set up along key corridors or routes connecting major cities.
The government plans to provide a capital subsidy of 50 percent of the project cost (capped at ₹50,000) for installing EV charging facilities in apartment complexes.
