WTC Final: wtc final kiran more tells india problem: Kiran More tells Team India’s biggest problem
Kiran More feels batting could be a big headache for the Indian team in the final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand. The former wicketkeeper feels that the Indian batting unit is yet to play together despite winning the Border-Gavaskar series in Australia.
India played a Test series in New Zealand at the beginning of 2020. In that series, India lost both the test matches. India’s highest score in four innings was 242 runs. In his recent conversation with rediff.com, he talked about the challenges faced by the Indian team in the final of the World Test Championship.
More said, ‘As far as the Indian team is concerned, I see only one challenge and that is batting. We haven’t been able to click as a batting unit. If you see, batting was the main reason for our loss in New Zealand. Even in Australia as a batting unit, we didn’t play very well, we depended on certain players. Ajinkya Rahane hit a century when we needed it. Then Rishabh Pant played some good innings. Then in the lower order, Washington Sundar and Ravichandran Ashwin also assisted with the bat.
When India last played a Test match against the Kiwi team, it had to face defeat badly. In the first Test they lost by 10 wickets and in the second they lost by 7 wickets.
