India has rested Rishabh Pant in this series against New Zealand. Because of this, Saha has got a chance. Along with Saha, KS Bharat was also part of the Indian squad but he was not selected in the playing XI.
Saha made his Ranji Trophy debut in 2006-07. He scored 111 runs in the match against Hyderabad. In this match, he was included in the team in place of Deep Dasgupta. He had already become the 15th player for Bengal to score a century in a first-class match. Saha made his debut in 2010 against South Africa in Nagpur.
He became an important part of the Indian team after Mahendra Singh Dhoni retired from Test cricket. However, after the injury and the charisma of Rishabh Pant, his place was not confirmed here too.
