World Economic Forum report says 6 out of 10 people may lose jobs to machines by 2025
World Economic Forum Report: Six out of ten people in the world will lose their jobs by 2025 due to the use of technology or the use of machines in the workplace, according to a report by the World Economic Forum.
The report was prepared by the World Economic Forum in association with PwC, a consulting firm. The study looked at 32,000 employees in 19 countries around the world. In the next five years, 40 per cent of the workers think that they will have to lose their jobs where they are now. So 56 per cent of people think that few of them can sustain their employment for a long time.
The report also found that 60 per cent of employees worldwide feel that the government needs to do something to sustain their employment. During the Corona Lockdown, 40 percent of employees focus on enhancing their digital skills, while 77 percent of employees are ready to acquire these new skills. Eighty percent of employees are confident they will be able to learn cutting-edge digital skills.
