Women in Jammu and Kashmir will get digital banking facility at home, digi sakhi scheme launched

Srinagar, Sep 14 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday launched the ‘One Gram Panchayat-One Digi-Pay Sakhi’ scheme to promote door-to-door digital banking and financial services in remote areas of the Union Territory. Of. An official spokesperson gave this information.

The mission was launched at J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Pampore.

Initially, the Digi-Pay facility will be made available in 2,000 remote villages of the Union Territory. In the first phase, 80 women from Self Help Groups of Jammu and Kashmir have been selected as Digi-Pe Sakhi.

On this occasion, the Lieutenant Governor distributed 80 Aadhaar linked payment systems among Digi-Pay Sakhis under the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Livelihood Mission.

He also inaugurated a one week training program for Krishi Sakhi and Pashu Sakhi on Sustainable Agriculture and Livestock Management.
