Geneva: One in three women worldwide has been the victim of sexual violence at least once in her lifetime, according to a report by the United Nations World Health Organization and a partner organization.
The World Health Organization released a report on Tuesday. It studies the violence that women face. It also states that a quarter of all women under the age of 25 have experienced violence.

The report studies the statistics between 2010 and 2018. Importantly, during the Corona period, women faced a great deal of domestic violence. Statistics for this period are not included in this report.
The President of the World Health Organization said that violence against women is seen in every country and in every culture. It has affected millions of women and their families. Violence against women has increased around the world during the Corona era.
He called on the governments of all countries to enact strict laws to end violence against women.
