New Delhi, May 3 (Volvo) Volvo Cars India said on Monday that it has increased the prices of its cars by up to two lakh rupees with immediate effect to partially compensate it in view of rising raw material costs.

The Swedish luxury carmaker said in a statement that it has raised the ex-showroom prices of its luxury sedan car S90 and premium SUVs – the XC40, XC60 and XC90 – from May 3.

The prices of these models have been increased from one to two lakh rupees.

After the price increase, the S90 D4 Inscription will now be priced at Rs 60.9 lakhs, Rs 41.25 lakhs for the XC40 T4R design, Rs 60.9 lakhs for the XC60 D5 Inscription and Rs 88.9 lakhs for the XC90 D5 Inscription (all ex-showroom prices).

However, the company said that the price of its recently launched luxury luxury sedan car S60 has not been changed and it will still be available for Rs 45.9 lakhs.
