Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy Says War Between Russia And Ukraine Is Possible

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has warned of “fears” of war with Russia and called for an urgent meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Tensions between the two countries reached their peak after Russia increased its troops along the Ukrainian border earlier this year. At least 14,000 people have been killed in conflict in eastern Ukraine since 2014.

All unsuccessful meeting attempts
Speaking at the Yalta European Strategy (YES) summit, Zelenskiy said a war with Russia could be ‘possible’. He said it was the worst thing that could happen but unfortunately it is feared. Zelenskiy revealed that he tried his best to have a meeting with Putin and discuss the conflict between the two countries but so far no meeting has been possible. He said I don’t have time to think about it.

they don’t want to end the war
“I’m more interested in whether we can actually meet for the purpose of discussing important things and not as an announcement, as he does with many countries,” says the Ukrainian president. “It seems to me that they do not see the sense in solving the issues. He does not want the war to end and the issues of conflict to be resolved at the earliest.

NATO stunned by Russia and Belarus maneuvers
The Russian military is engaged in Zapad-2021, Europe’s largest maneuver in the past decade, with Belarus. It is believed that this show of power by Russia is actually an attempt to send a message to America. The Zapad-2021 maneuver started on 9 September. 200,000 military personnel are participating in this exercise, which will last till 16 September. This military exercise of Russia and Belarus has raised the ears of NATO countries. Indeed, many European countries also have disputes with Belarus. Not only this, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has also been accused of human rights abuses.
