Suhas LY Arjun Award: Noida DM Suhas LY recommended to be conferred with Arjuna Award, won Silver in Tokyo Paralympics
This time be it Tokyo Olympics or Paralympics, Indian players are dominating. The name of Suhas LY, who brought glory to India by winning a medal in the Tokyo Paralympics, has also been recommended for the Arjuna Award 2021. IAS Suhas is also the District Magistrate of LY Noida. If Suhas LY is honored with the Arjuna Award, then he has become the first IAS officer to be given this honour.
A total of 11 players have been nominated for the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna along with Neeraj Chopra, who won the gold medal in Javelin for India at the Tokyo Olympics 2021. Not only this, 35 players have been selected to be honored with the Arjuna Award. Suhas LY won silver medal in badminton match at Tokyo Paralympics.

Suhas LY is originally born in Shimoga, Karnataka. Despite his leg not being fully fit, he retained his interest in the sport. Suhas LY did his early studies from the village. Then in Suratkar city, Suhas LY did his engineering in computer science from the National Institute of Technology. Suhas LY’s father passed away in the year 2005. Suhas LY, who was preparing for UPSC, became an IAS officer from UP cadre in 2007.
