Soybean futures fall on weak demand on weak demand

New Delhi, May 27 (PTI) Traders cut their positions due to weak spot demand, leading to a loss of Rs 81 to Rs 7,048 per quintal on Thursday in futures trade.

At the NCDEX, soybean delivery contract for the month of June fell by Rs 81, or 1.18 per cent, to Rs 7,048 per quintal with a turnover of 52,030 lots.

Market sources said that the losses were mainly due to the futures prices of soybean futures cut by traders.

Similarly, the contract for delivery of soybean in the month of July lost Rs 83 or 1.2 per cent to Rs 6,816 per quintal with a turnover of 17,870 lots.
