Ganguly will travel to the UK on 22 September where he will discuss the reschedule of the Manchester Test with representatives of England cricket. The BCCI President told The Telegraph, ‘The players had refused to play. But you can’t blame them. Yogesh Parmar was in touch with all the players and it was natural to be scared. After the cancellation of Manchester Test, former England captain Michael Vaughan on IPL had said that the reason for this is IPL. Vaughan took a dig at the players and said that he was afraid that he might miss the IPL.

According to Ganguly, ‘The players were scared when they came to know that Yogesh’s corona test has come positive. They feared coming in contact with this deadly disease. Living in a bubble is not easy. Of course you have to respect their sentiments. Shastri, Arun and Sridhar may leave for India on Wednesday provided their RT-PCR test comes negative before the trip.
