Shree Cement to set up cement factory in Rajasthan with an investment of Rs 3500 crore
The company’s board of directors on Tuesday approved an investment of Rs 500 crore for setting up solar power plants at its cement units at various locations. Besides this, approval has also been given to set up a clinker grinding unit in Purulia district of West Bengal by its wholly owned subsidiary Shree Cement East with an investment of Rs 750 crore.
In a communication to the stock exchanges, the company said its board of directors has approved setting up of an integrated cement plant at Gothra village in Rajasthan’s Nawalgarh tehsil and solar power plants at various locations.
The newly proposed plant will have a clinker capacity of 3.8 million tonnes per annum. It will be ready by the quarter ending March 2024. The project will require an investment of Rs 3,500 crore.
