Referring to his first address inside Parliament as an MP, he said how the then Speaker Somnath Chatterjee had given him an opportunity to speak openly, which boosted his morale. Thakur asked all the presiding officers present there that they should also give ample opportunity to the elected representatives in their House for the first time.
On the elixir of independence, he also talked about presenting the historical decisions, rules and speeches in the country’s legislature in the form of a book or video and presenting it on the media and social media. He said that this would give information and inspiration to the new public representatives as well as the youth.
