The State and Subordinate Services Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination (RAS-2021) conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission on Wednesday, 27 October has been completed. One question in this exam is ‘Where is the solar observatory in Rajasthan?’ Asked. Many candidates were confused about the answer to this question. Because solar observatory is also in Jaipur (Jantar-Mantar) and also in Udaipur. These two options were also given separately. This question was asked in RAS exam in the past also. The candidates had gone to the High Court regarding the answer. The High Court had recognized Udaipur as the correct answer.
Only 49.37 percent appeared in the exam
Out of the total registered candidates, less than half of the candidates appeared in this examination. A total of 6 lakh 48 thousand 181 candidates were registered, out of which only 3 lakh 20 thousand 34 candidates appeared for the examination. 3 lakh 28 thousand 147 candidates remained absent. That is 49.37 percent attendance. In the RAS-2021 exam for 988 posts, 363 posts are of state service while 625 posts are of subordinate services. Now for the main examination, the commission will consider 15 times the candidates eligible for the total vacant posts.
RPSC made question paper on UPSC pattern
Expert of competitive examinations and scholar of Hindi Dr. Raghav Prakash said that the level of question paper was of high standard. Most of the questions were asked in such a way through which an attempt was made to test the knowledge of the candidates. Only those candidates who knew the complete concept of the subject could solve the questions. Dr Raghav Prakash said that some questions were also asked in such a way that instead of testing the intelligence of the candidate, memory was tested. That is, rote rote questions were also included. However, most of the questions were of administrative abilities.
Instead of asking direct questions to the market guides, the question paper was to test the knowledge of the subject.
According to Dr Savita Paiwal, this time questions were asked on UPSC pattern in the preliminary examination of RAS-2021. Very few direct questions were asked from general books and guides available in the market. Most of the questions were designed in a non-traditional manner innovating like the UPSC pattern. The questions were asked in relation to the knowledge of the subject rather than being asked directly. More than 15 questions were asked from Economic Review of Rajasthan. According to Dr. Savita Paiwal, the questions related to Indian History must be difficult for the candidates.
Mathematics questions confused the candidates of Arts stream
Exams expert Arun Dhaka explains that the latest questions were asked in current developments. A question was also asked on 18 August 2021 in which the Constitution amendment was approved by President Ram Nath Kovind. As the Mathematics questions were tough for the Arts stream candidates, the cut off is likely to be low due to the minus marking. Reasoning questions were asked of general level which remained the same for all the candidates.
Question related to Avni Lekhara of Jaipur also came in RAS-2021 Pre Exam
In RAS-2021 questions were asked from both Olympic and Para Olympic. Avni Lekhara of Jaipur became the flag bearer of India in the closing ceremony of Tokyo Para Olympics. The same question was asked who became the flag bearer in the closing ceremony of Para Olympics. The second question related to the Olympics was who was the silver medalist for India in the Olympics. The correct answer was Ravi Kumar Dahiya and Mirabai Chanu.
