Out of these, 11 MLAs took oath of cabinet and four MLAs took oath as ministers of state. With this, the much-awaited reshuffle of the Ashok Gehlot cabinet of the state was completed.
Regional and ethnic balance has been taken care of
The Congress government in the state is going to complete three years of its term next month and this is the first reshuffle in the cabinet which is being seen as an attempt by the party high command to balance the regional and caste as well as the former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot camp. .

It is noteworthy that among the new ministers, Mamta Bhupesh, Bhajanlal Jatav and Tikaram Julie have been promoted as ministers of state and sworn in as cabinet ministers. In this list, five MLAs including Hemaram Chaudhary, Murarilal Meena and Brijendra Ola are considered to be of the pilot camp. Apart from this, Vishvendra Singh and Ramesh Meena, who were removed from the post along with Pilot when they took a rebellious stand against the leadership of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot last year, have been re-inducted into the cabinet.
At the same time, out of the six MLAs who joined the Congress from Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Rajendra Gudha has also been made a minister.
30 ministers quota fulfilled
In this reorganization, cabinet ministers Raghu Sharma, Harish Chaudhary and minister of state Govind Singh Dotasra have been removed. These three ministers had already sent their resignations to Congress President Sonia Gandhi with the intention of working in the organisation. With the arrival of these new ministers in the Gehlot cabinet, the quota of maximum 30 ministers has been fulfilled. Sources said after the completion of the cabinet reshuffle process, 15 MLAs would be appointed as parliamentary secretaries and seven as advisors to the chief minister.
