The accused of theft locked in the Sojat police station of Rajasthan’s Pali suddenly deteriorated late on Wednesday night. He was rushed to the local hospital, where he died during treatment. After this incident, the son of the deceased alleged that the accused, in connivance with the police, implicated his father in a false case and beat him up. Due to this he died. On the report of the son of the deceased, the police also registered a case against seven people. But in protest against this incident, a large number of people sat on a dharna outside the Sojat SDM office on Thursday morning demanding the arrest of the accused. After this, on the advice of the police and administrative officials, the protesters agreed to lift the dead body in the evening. After the post-mortem from the medical board, the body was handed over to the relatives at around 5 pm.

After the death, the angry family members sat on a dharna outside the SDM office in the morning demanding the arrest of the accused. The deceased’s son Sikander has registered a case against seven people including Rajesh Sankhla, Sohanlal. After the incident, police personnel have been deployed at various places in the city for security. Sadar Hakim Bhai of Pali Muslim Samaj, Mehboob T, former president of Congress Pali city block also reached the spot. The body was picked up at around five o’clock in the evening after the persuasion of the police-administrative officials.
Theft was done from the scrap warehouse
In fact, the son of the deceased, Sikander, gave a nominated report against six-seven people. A case of theft of scrap from the scrap warehouse of Rajesh Sankhla was registered with the police. In the police investigation, 67-year-old Rahmat Khan son Ismail Khan, resident of Bada Bas of Sojat’s gardeners and Omprakash son Chhotelal Rajput, resident of Madar, Ajmer, were taken into custody. Police said that he admitted to stealing from the scrap godown on August 22. On this, both were arrested and on their behest, the stolen goods were recovered and the jeep was also recovered in the incident. The Kovid report of the accused was to come, so he was kept in police custody. During this, his health suddenly deteriorated on Wednesday night and died during treatment.

Sojat Thanaprabhari Ravindra Khichi told that on the night of 22 August at 11:30, Rajesh Sankhla filed a case of theft. On 23 August, the police said Rahmat Khan was arrested. Appeared in court on 24 August. From where he was handed over on remand of one day. He was presented back in court on 25 August. From where orders were issued to send him to judicial custody. He was kept in police custody after the Kovid report did not come.

Sikander’s son Rahmat Khan, the son of the deceased resident of Bada Bas of Sojat’s gardeners, gave a report to the police on Thursday morning. It told that between 8 to 8.30 pm on 22nd August my father Rahmat Khan son Ismail Khan who works as scrap. Rajesh Sankhla and other five-six people took them to their warehouse and beat them up. Later he was taken to the house of my uncle Amin Khan in IOC Colony. Wherever they tried to beat him. Whom my uncle and others rescued. According to the report, ASI Vedpal reached the spot from Sojat police station at around 9:30 pm. Rajesh took my father to Sankhla’s warehouse. The report alleged that Rajesh Sankhla, in connivance with the policeman, implicated his father by registering a false case due to business competition and his car was also confiscated. The report alleged that his father Rehmat Khan suffered internal injuries due to the assault of Rajesh Sankhla and others.

The police started investigation by registering a case under other sections including murder.

Sojat Deputy Hemant Jakhar told that Rahmat Khan started complaining of nausea and nervousness on Wednesday night by the deceased. On getting the information, he was immediately taken to Sojat Hospital. Rahmat Khan himself went to the hospital premises and got the hospital slip made at 11:40 pm. The deputy claims that we also have a video of this. The doctor on duty also treated Rahmat Khan, but suddenly Rahmat Khan’s health started deteriorating and died at 12.25 pm.
