The excitement of cricket is overshadowed in the state capital Jaipur today. There is a special enthusiasm among the people due to the international match being held after almost eight years. Therefore, keeping in view the traffic of the city, Jaipur Police has made special arrangements. Under this, special traffic diversion has been done. This diversion started around the Sawai Mansingh Stadium from noon onwards. Alternate routes have been arranged for vehicular movement.

Entry of heavy vehicles prohibited around Sawai Mansingh Stadium
The entry of heavy vehicles has been completely banned on Bhawani Singh Marg, Janpath, Tonk Road and New Vidhan Sabha Road around Sawai Mansingh Stadium. This ban will continue till the end of the match till late night. In view of the traffic pressure, four wheelers will be removed from the surrounding routes.

Traffic system will remain like this for the residents of the city today

  • The traffic coming towards Rambagh from JDA intersection located on JLN Marg in Jaipur will be diverted towards Gandhi Circle and Trimurti Circle as per requirement.
  • The traffic going from University Gate to University Mod will be diverted from Janta Store.
  • Traffic going from Statue Circle to Polo Circle will be diverted parallel as per requirement.
  • Traffic going towards Vidhan Sabha will be diverted from Pankaj Singhvi Marg.
  • Only normal traffic will be diverted on all these routes. Those who will have a ticket to watch a cricket match, they will be given entry on showing the ticket.
  • During the match, roadways and minibuses will be diverted from Narayan Singh Circle to Prithviraj T-Point, Prithviraj Road, Statue Circle, Park Prime, Chaumu House Circle.
  • VIP vehicle parking will be in the South Block in the stadium.
  • The parking of the vehicles of the visitors entering through the East Gate will be done near the SMS Investment Ground.
  • The parking of the vehicles of the visitors entering through the North Gate will be done near the SMS Investment Ground Ambedkar Circle.
  • The vehicles of the visitors entering through the western gate will be parked at the Guavado ke Bagh ground.
  • After the match, vehicles carrying guava orchards will be removed from Kathputli Road.
  • Parking for the vehicles of the spectators entering through the South Gate will remain inside the stadium. There will be parking for the vehicles of RCA officers and members in the sports ground.
  • Tonk Road from Gandhi Nagar Mor to Narayan Singh Tiraha, Bhawani Singh Road from Rambagh Circle to 22 Godown Circle, Janpath from Statue Circle to Vidhansabha Tiraha, Vidhansabha Tiraha to Fruit Mandi Cut, Pankaj Singhvi Marg up to Tonk Road.

7 LED screens installed in the city to watch matches

To remove their frustration, RCA has taken a unique initiative. The spectators will be able to watch the match on 7 large LED screens in the city. Five LED screens are already installed. RCA is setting up two big screens in Ramniwas Bagh and Mansarovar area. Two big LED screens have been installed on JDA, one each at CTP Office, Housing Board, Nigam (Greater).

Tight security arrangements have been made by Jaipur Police at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. 2000 policemen will be stationed round the clock inside and outside the stadium. Security guards have also been deployed at nearby buildings. The spectators will be allowed to enter the stadium only after strict screening. Although no restrictions have been issued by the BCCI and RCA, but due to security reasons, the police have imposed a lot of restrictions. According to police officials, spectators coming to watch the match will not be allowed entry with sharp tools like food items, beverage bottles, coins, tobacco-borne packets, cigarettes, knives, spoons. During the search, these banned items will be kept outside the stadium itself.

There will be a ban on carrying these things
Spectators will not be able to take cameras, selfie sticks, helmets, cans, food items, water bottles, power banks, lighters, matches, tablets, umbrellas and other prohibited items inside the stadium.
