Produce promotes productive innovation in the Forestry and Productive CITE in Loreto | News

The production support and technology transfer services provided by the Ministry of Production, through the production innovation and technology transfer centers of the Loreto region, such as the CITE Forestal and the CITE Productivo Maynas, were presented by the head of the sector, Yván Quispe Apaza.

He explained that the CITE Productivo Maynas serves the production chain of camu camu, aguaje, gamitama and paiche with productive support services, technical assistance and training, among others. He ratified the signing of the specific inter-institutional cooperation agreement between the Loreto regional government and the Technological Institute of Production (ITP).

“We are going to promote innovation and generate improvements in quality and productivity, by providing technological services to agribusiness, due to its exportable potential in the region,” said Quispe Apaza.

He also detailed that In the period 2017 to July 2021, the Productive CITE provided 10,240 technology transfer and innovation services in promoting research, development and innovation management, technical assistance, and served 3,724 clients.

During his visit to Loreto, the owner of Produce also visited the CITE Forestal Maynas, which serves the wood and forestry production chain.

“This CITE aims to promote the development of companies in the timber forest production chain, with the aim of contributing to increasing their competitiveness and productivity in the market, with the support of knowledge and technological innovation,” he stressed.

The ITP has 47 CITE at the national level, 25 public, 19 private and 3 technical units, located in Arequipa, Cajamarca, Callao, Cusco, Huancavelica, Huánuco, Ica, Junín, La Libertad, Lima, Loreto, Madre de Dios, Moquegua, Pasco, Piura, Puno, San Martín, Tacna and Ucayali, which allows it to have coverage in practically the entire national territory.
