PM Modi on Bangladesh Visit | Worship of Prime Minister Modi at Jashoreshwari Kali Temple in Bangladesh
Dhaka: This is the second day of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bangladesh. Today, Modi visited the famous Jashoreshwari Kali Mata Mandir and worshiped the Goddess. Jashoreshwari Kali Mandir is considered to be one of the 51 Shakti Peeths. This temple was built about four hundred years ago. & Nbsp;
The Prime Minister crowned Goddess Jashoreshwari and offered a sari at her feet. He then worshiped the Goddess in mantra chanting. This temple has a special relationship with West Bengal. It is said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the temple and conveyed a kind of political message to the voters of West Bengal. & Nbsp;
Bangladesh is celebrating its 50th Independence Day this year. This year is also the birth centenary year of Vangbandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rehman. Also this year marks the 50th anniversary of India-Bangladesh relations. With all this in mind, the Prime Minister has chosen Bangladesh for his first visit since the Corona era.
India’s relations with Bangladesh are strong and cordial. India has provided assistance to Bangladesh from time to time under the Neighborhood First policy. India has been a great help to Bangladesh even during the Corona crisis. India has given 90 lakh doses of corona vaccine to Bangladesh. This aid is more than any other country. During Modi’s visit, the railway service between Jalpaiguri in West Bengal and Dhaka in Bangladesh will be given the green light.
Last year, Modi had a virtual meeting with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The tour was announced at the time. In January 2021, Bangladesh’s Foreign Secretary Masood bin Momen visited India. Later, Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar visited Bangladesh.
