Recently, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the first budget of the year. There, he said, a total of 48,275 crore has been allocated for the 53 53 railway projects. This includes the construction of Vijayawada from Kharagpur and Dunkuni Freight Corridor from Gomo.
Shortly after the Finance Minister presented the budget, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal tweeted, “In 2021-22, Rs 638 crore Railway Budget has been allocated for railways in West Bengal, which is about 26% higher than the previous year. . ” This is the first time in the history of Indian Railways that such a huge amount of money has been allocated for Bengal, which is historic. The government of Bengal now has only to prepare the land so that the project can be completed quickly.
Before the election, on the one hand, the Finance Minister’s budget was presented and the Railway Minister’s tweet about West Bengal Railway Budget, many think it is a desperate attempt to consolidate BJP’s land in Bengal.
