Pakistan Army: 7 Pakistan Army soldiers killed in South Waziristan operation, ISPR Says: Seven Pakistan Army soldiers killed in encounter with terrorists in South Waziristan
Supporting terrorist groups for Pakistan now seems to be overshadowed. Seven Pakistani Army personnel were killed in an encounter with terrorists in South Waziristan on Wednesday. There is also news of the death of five terrorists in this encounter. The Pakistan Army’s propaganda wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued a statement saying that the operation was launched on the basis of intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area.
Propaganda Wing of Pak Army confirmed
The ISPR said that 5 terrorists were killed and 7 soldiers also lost their lives in the firing. The security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to eliminate other militants, the statement said. Attacks on security forces have increased in recent months. Earlier this month, at least four Frontier Corps officers were killed and 18 others were injured in a suicide attack near a check post on Mastung Road in Quetta.
Last week also two soldiers died
Last week, two Pakistani Army personnel were killed in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attack in North Waziristan. The ISPR had said that the security forces were carrying out an evacuation operation in Dosalli area of the district when the IED exploded. In August, three soldiers were killed and several injured when a vehicle hit a landmine in Balochistan’s Ziarat district.
Suspect TTP or ISIS
It has not yet been told about this encounter, with which group these terrorists were related. Apart from Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists of Islamic State (ISIS) are also active in the area of South Waziristan. TTP is being said to be involved in most of the terrorist attacks happening in Pakistan these days. At the same time, ISIS is also trying to strengthen its roots in Pakistan after Afghanistan.
Pakistan lost its sleep due to TTP attacks
According to the Business Recorder report, in June 2014, Pakistan Army’s Operation Zarb-e-Azb broke the back of the TTP. Then its terrorists fled from Pakistan to Afghanistan. Now for the last few years these terrorists have returned back to Pakistan and are continuously attacking and damaging the army and properties. Due to TTP attacks in many states, the Pakistani government and army have been sleeping.
Imran’s home state TTP hideout
The government of Pakistan blacklisted Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan in 2008. TTP has carried out many major attacks in Pakistan in the last 10 years. The biggest stronghold of this terrorist organization is Imran Khan’s home state Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Recently, TTP terrorists attacked the bus of Chinese engineers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and killed 13 people. Not only this, a day before this attack, the Pakistani army was attacked in the same state and killed one of their captains and a jawan.
