Kolkata
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is reaching Delhi ahead of the commencement of the winter session of Parliament. Political stir has intensified regarding his Delhi visit. During his visit to Delhi, talk of meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi was coming to the fore. Now Mamta herself has confirmed this. He has also disclosed about the issues to be raised during the meeting with the Prime Minister.

CM Mamata Banerjee on Monday said that she will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi during her visit to Delhi. During this, she will raise the issues related to ‘widespread violence’ in Tripura along with increasing the jurisdiction of the Border Security Force (BSF). Mamata also said that she would not be able to join the ongoing dharna of Trinamool Congress (TMC) MPs to protest the attack on party workers in Tripura but would definitely express solidarity with them.

Mamta targeted Shah
Mamta Banerjee targeted Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The TMC supremo said that the Union Home Minister has not yet shown courtesy. He has not met TMC MPs. They want to meet him over the violence in Tripura. Talking to the media before leaving for Delhi, she said that during her visit to Delhi, I will meet the Prime Minister. Apart from various matters related to the state, I will raise the issues related to Tripura violence along with increasing the jurisdiction of BSF.

Surprised at the attitude of the Human Rights Commission
Mamata Banerjee wondered why the Human Rights Commission was not taking cognizance of the heavy use of force in the northeastern state. He said Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb and his government were disobeying the Supreme Court’s direction. They have to answer to the common people. I will appeal to the top court to take action against his government as per law.

The Supreme Court has asked the Tripura government to ensure that no political party is prevented from exercising its electoral rights in accordance with law and from campaigning in a peaceful and orderly manner for the upcoming local body elections. Mamta is now trying to make it a political issue.
