Lima Stock Exchange opens lower due to mining and financial shares | News
The Lima Stock Exchange (BVL) shows negative indicators at the beginning of today’s session, given the decline in mining, financial and consumer stocks, amid the varied performance of regional markets.
The General Index of the Lima Stock Exchange (BVL), the most representative of the local stock market, fell 0.59%, going from 20,715 to 20,592 points.
The Selective Index of the Lima stock market, which is made up of the 15 most traded shares in the market, fell 0.82%, going from 550.71 to 546.18 points.
Asian stock markets had mixed behaviors at the close, as did the results shown by the main Latin American markets and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) at the moment.
The Dow Jones industrial index of the New York Stock Exchange and the Standard & Poor’s index fell 0.21% and 0.06%, respectively, while the Nasdaq technological indicator rose 0.06%.
