Therefore, it becomes the responsibility of every MP to conduct themselves in this temple of democracy with the same spirit of reverence with which they do in their houses of worship and places of worship.
President Kovind said that some scholars of the West used to say that the system of adult suffrage in India would fail, but this experiment was not only successful, but has been strengthened over time and even other democracies have done a lot more than this. has learned.
Kovind said, ‘Indian democracy’ can undoubtedly be regarded as one of the greatest achievements of human history, if we take into account the challenges faced by the nation at the time of our independence.
The President said that 72 years ago in this central hall, the framers of the Constitution had adopted the document of a bright future of independent India i.e. our Constitution and surrendered it to the people of India.
He said that in a short span of almost seven decades, the people of India have written such a wonderful saga of democratic development which has amazed the whole world. President Ram Nath Kovind also launched the portal of online quiz on democracy.
