A case has been registered against famous Bhojpuri singer and actor Khesari Lal Yadav under sections 292, 294 and 354 of the Indian Penal Code for making ‘obscene songs’ and obscene songs about women. Shri Surjit Singh, head of ‘Sanatan Seva Foundation’, has registered a criminal case against the 35-year-old singer in Maharashtra on Thursday (June 10).
Surjit Singh said in his complaint, “Yadav makes ‘obscene songs’ and videos with the intention of making money. The complainant has also mentioned Yadav’s recently released song ‘Aunty’s children come to Sawanpanwa’. Surjit Singh said, “These songs are hurting the respect of women in the society.” The complainant has also submitted screenshot proof. Singh has demanded strict action against Yadav.
Singers have been caught in such allegations before. In March 2021, film director Rajkumar Pandey accused Khesari Lal Yadav of threatening and behaving indecently. Yadav made derogatory remarks to the director on social media and even threatened him. After this, a case was registered against him in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
