Senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly, but Twitter users surrounded him. The users did not like to give Sibal’s knowledge on democracy and they started showing mirror to Congress. In fact, Sibal said that PM Modi in the UN has described India as the mother of all democracies of the world, hopefully Yogi ji and Himanta Biswa Sharma will be listening to him.

Another senior Congress leader P Chidambaram has expressed disappointment over the empty chairs during PM Modi’s speech. He tweeted, ‘I was very disappointed to see that only a few seats were filled during PM Modi’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly. Even more disappointed that no one even clapped. India’s Permanent Mission to the UN has messed up badly.

Kapil Sibal in his tweet in a way questioned the commitment of UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Bishwa Sharma towards democracy. Both the chief ministers of BJP are considered firebrands and are well-known faces of Hindutva politics. Sharma was earlier in Congress. Many Twitter users did not like this taunt of Kapil Sibal and they started trolling him.

A Twitter user named Rajesh Joshi, questioning Sibal, wrote that you are from the party which imposed emergency in the country and throttled democracy. Today anybody says anything that there is no democracy.
