industry body phdcci gave five suggestions to avoid the third wave of kovid 19

New Delhi, Jun 9 (PTI) Industry body PHDCCI has suggested a five-pronged strategy to the government to avoid the third wave of COVID-19. It has also been advised to impose lockdown in the district if there are more than 500 active cases.

PHDCCI has asked the government to vaccinate at least half of the population during the next three to four months, strictly wearing face masks, maintaining social distance and strictly following the guidelines in controlled areas.

PHDCCI President Sanjay Aggarwal said in a statement on Wednesday, “The containment zones will help in preventing the spread of COVID-19 in any geographical area. If the number of active cases of corona in any district exceeds 500, a lockdown should be imposed immediately.

He said that during the next three-four months the emphasis should be on increasing the capacity and quality of the health infrastructure.

He said that the government should also ensure the availability of oxygen, beds, ICU beds and other medical personnel including doctors in hospitals so that maximum lives can be saved.
