There is good news for Indians planning a holiday in Dubai. Dubai has done away with the requirement of residency visa for travelers. In a tweet, Emirates Airline’s customer service team said that those UAE residents who have a visa issued by any emirate can land in Dubai.

Till now, only those travelers from countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, from where UAE travel was banned, could land in Dubai who had a residence visa issued by Dubai. In response to Twitter visa queries, Emirates’ support staff said that travelers traveling to Dubai with UAE residency visas will need to obtain approval from the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA).

The airlines said in a tweet, ‘As per the current update, all UAE residents can travel with a newly issued residence or employment visa, short stay / long stay visa, visit visa, visa on arrival to travel to Dubai. Travelers traveling with UAE Resident Visa must have GDRFA or ICA approval. This relief has been given by Dubai at a time when the UAE has opened its doors to tourists from all countries a day earlier.
UAE started giving tourist visa
The United Arab Emirates on Sunday announced good news for Indian tourists, saying that the country will start issuing tourist visas from August 30. The demand for tourist visas and flight tickets to the UAE has increased four-fold on Monday, just after the announcement of the opening of the doors for tourists.
