India-Singapore trade estimated to be around $21 billion in 202021

Singapore, May 28 (PTI) India’s High Commissioner in Singapore P Kumaran has said that trade between India and Singapore is estimated to reach US $ 21 billion in FY 2020-21, despite the Kovid-19 epidemic.

“Trade between India and Singapore is a little over US $ 19 billion,” he said.

Kumaran said on Friday, “It is expected to be around $ 21 billion when the full figures are available for the fiscal year 2020-21. Earlier, it was US $ 23 billion from April 2019 to March 2020. ”

He said that despite the epidemic it was very encouraging and both sides performed well under extremely stressful circumstances.

Meanwhile, Singapore tops the list of FDI coming into India, from where India received $81.72 billion during the financial year 2020-21 and its share in foreign direct investment is 29 percent.
