India CREDAI announces free vaccination drive for 2 5 cr construction workers | CREDAI
New Delhi: CREDAI, an association of real estate developers, has now decided to provide free vaccinations to 2.5 crore construction workers in the country. The construction sector is the second largest employer in the country after agriculture. Therefore, this decision of CREDAI is considered important.
CREDAI (Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India) is an association of more than 1300 real estate developers in 21 states of the country. Harshvardhan Patodia has recently been elected as its president. As soon as he was elected president, Harshvardhan Patodia on Tuesday announced that CREDAI would provide free vaccinations to 2.5 crore construction workers in the country.
The announcement said CREDAI would expedite the vaccination drive launched by the central government in the country and help in controlling corona as soon as possible by vaccinating the needy people in the country.
The country is once again witnessing a massive increase in the number of corona patients. Therefore, the central government has decided to speed up the corona vaccination program which started on January 16. Earlier, it was decided to vaccinate only citizens above 60 years of age and those above 45 years of age with serious illness. The central government has decided to vaccinate all citizens above the age of 45 from April 1.
Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that some changes will be made in the co-win portal for people above 45 years of age to register for vaccination. People born after January 1, 1977 can register.
