India China Dispute News : China Lodges Protest With India Over General Bipin Rawat Alleged Remarks
China has lodged an objection with India over the alleged remarks by Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat that China is the “biggest security threat”. The Ministry of Defense of China gave this information on Thursday. Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Colonel Wu Qian said at a press conference in Beijing, “Indian officials speculate without reason on the so-called ‘Chinese military threat’, which is a serious violation of the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries that China and India ‘are not a threat to each other’.
Claims of strong opposition in front of India
Colonel Wu said, ‘We strongly oppose this remark. We strongly oppose this and have strongly objected to the Indian side. However, he did not specify when the protest was lodged. “China’s stand on the India-China border issue is clear and clear,” he said. Chinese border guarding forces are determined to protect national sovereignty and security and are committed to maintaining peace and tranquility in the border area, making extensive efforts to reduce tensions.
Spokesperson recited Chinese proverb
The Defense Ministry spokesman also referred to an old Chinese proverb, ‘If you use copper as a mirror you can be ready, if you use history as a mirror you will rise and fall. You can understand the advantages and disadvantages if you use people as mirrors. The standoff in Ladakh began in May last year when China mobilized its troops in Pangong Lake and other areas along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh.
Tension escalated after a violent confrontation between the armies of India and China in the Galwan Valley on June 15 last year. Since then, there have been several talks at the military and diplomatic level between the two countries to reduce tension and withdraw troops from the disputed areas. But the situation before June 2020 has not been restored yet.
