Pune : Batting first, India put up 336 runs ahead of England. It looked as if England could have a hard time achieving the tough target of 337 runs. However, Johnny Bairstow’s brilliant century and Ben Stokes’ strong 99 helped England reach the target easily.
In the absence of regular captain Morgan, England was led by Jose Butler. England won the toss and elected to bat first. However, India got off to a bad start. Opener Shikhar Dhawan returned for just four runs. Rohit Sharma was also dismissed for 25 runs. After this, captain Kohli and KL Rahul shared a century to take India to a big score.
