Former CM a threat to the country Question of Mehbooba Mufti after rejection of passport
Jammu and Kashmir: The Passport Office has opposed the issuance of a passport to former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. Mehbooba Mufti has criticized the central government for calling me a passport because it is detrimental to India’s security.
Mehbooba Mufti tweeted, “Passport office has denied me passport on the basis of CIED report. The CIED report states that it is detrimental to India’s security. This has been the normal situation in Kashmir since August 2019, where the so-called sovereignty of this powerful nation is at stake.
Passport Office refused to issue my passport based on CID’s report citing it as’ detrimental to the security of India. This is the level of normalcy achieved in Kashmir since Aug 2019 that an ex Chief Minister holding a passport is a threat to the sovereignty of a mighty nation. pic.twitter.com/3Z2CfDgmJy
