Farmer Income: Ministry of Agriculture has tied up with five companies in the technology sector

In order to increase the income of farmers rapidly, the government wants them to use modern technology in farming. For this, the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has tied up with some leading companies in the field of technology. These companies include Cisco, Ninjakart, Jio Platforms Limited, ITC Limited and NCDEX E-Markets Limited (NEML).
Agriculture sector will be modernized with new technology
According to information received from the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers, this MoU has been done to promote digital technology and other best practices in the agriculture sector and to run initial projects. The government says that modernization of the agriculture sector will continue with new technologies so that farmers can increase their income.

Five agreements have been signed
A statement issued by the ministry said that MoUs have been signed with Cisco, Ninjakart, Jio Platforms Limited, ITC Limited and NCDEX E-Markets Limited (NEML). These projects will be run on pilot basis.
Farmers will get help
The ministry believes that based on these pilot projects, farmers will be able to make a wise decision about which crop to grow. What kind of seed should they use to get a better crop? Along with this, they will also be helped in how to do crop management to maximize the yield of the crop.

Government of Digital Agriculture Mission has been done
The government has already launched a Digital Agriculture Mission for the year 2021-25 to focus on projects based on new technologies like artificial intelligence, block chain, remote sensing and GIS techniques, use of drones and robots etc.
