Pune: Covovax, a corona vaccine developed in partnership with US-based biotech company Novavax and Pune’s Serum Institute, has started testing in India. The company claims that the vaccine is 89 percent effective against the British and South African variants of the Corona. The corona vaccine is expected to hit the market by September 2021, said Adar Punawala of the Serum Institute.
