Covid-19: Peru reports 515 infections and 14 deaths in 24 hours | News
During September 24, in Peru, the results of 40,352 people sampled were recorded, of which 515 were confirmed positive cases of covid-19; while 14 patients died that day due to the virus, reported the Ministry of Health (Minsa).
It also points out that until 10:00 p.m. on September 24 samples have been processed for 17 million 728,752 people due to covid-19, obtaining 2 million 172,261 confirmed positive cases and 15 million 556,491 negatives.
Hospitalized and discharged
On the other hand, the Minsa informs that, to date, there are 3,799 hospitalized patients by covid-19, of which 1,043 are in ICU with mechanical ventilation.

Of the total confirmed cases 2 million 148,083 people completed their period of home isolation or they were discharged from a health facility. Likewise, the Ministry of Health reports that 91 patients were discharged on September 24.
The Minsa regrets to inform that, to date, the covid-19 has caused the death of 199,228 citizens in the country, and expresses its heartfelt condolences to the family members at this time of pain.
In order to avoid the spread of covid-19, the Government recommends physical distancing of at least one meter from distance from another person, wear a mask, wash hands frequently, and wear face shields on public transport.
