Covid-19: Minsa and Chanchamayo authorities launch Gap Closure Plan | News
With the firm commitment to continue increasing the number of people protected against a possible third pandemic wave, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) and the authorities of the province of Chanchamayo launched the Plan for Closing Gaps in vaccination against covid-19 in this Junín region area.
Luz Marticorena Alvarado, member of the technical team of Immunizations of the Minsa, delivered a copy of the document to the regional deputy governor of Junín, Clever Mercado Méndez, and to the provincial mayor of Chanchamayo, Eduardo Mariño Arquínigo, which synthesizes the commitment assumed by the different levels of government to speed up the vaccination process.
During the ceremony held in the main square of La Merced, the authorities thanked the Health sector for generating concrete actions embodied in the Gap Closure Plan, which They will make it possible to work in an articulated manner, in order to protect the population of Chanchamayo with two doses of the anticovid vaccine.
The director of the Chanchamayo Health Network, Jimmy Osorio Rosales; the director of the Regional Teaching Hospital Dr. Julio César Damarini Caro, as well as the representatives of the Ombudsman’s Office, Prefecture and the Army of Peru.
The actions of the plan will take place from Monday 8 to Friday 12 November with the participation of up to 22 vaccination brigades, made up of nursing graduates, health personnel and the Army, with the aim of closing the gap of 7,732 between first and second doses.
