New Delhi, Aug 16 (PTI) The Delhi High Court has asked the Center to explain its stand on a petition filed in connection with alleged cyber security breaches and data leaks in online platforms BigBasket, Domino’s, MobiKwik and Air India.

Justice Rekha Palli has given time to the counsel for the Center to take directions in the matter. The petition of Y Kiran Chandra, general secretary of the Free Software Movement of India, has been listed for hearing on September 23.

The court, in its August 13 order, said the advocate had sought time for directions on the matter. The matter will now come up for hearing on September 23.

In his plea, Chandra has appealed to the Computer Emergency Respondent Team-India (CERT-In) to initiate an inquiry into the matter and direct a review of the alleged data breach.

The petitioner said that he has informed CERT-In several times in writing about the breach of data of lakhs of users on the platforms of Big Basket, MobiKwik, Domino’s and Air India.
