Coronavirus Crisis : As Corona’s havoc spreads across the country, the rules and regulations issued by the administration become more and more stringent. While the Corona crisis has taken a serious turn in India, lockdowns and night curfews have been ordered in many cities, districts and states. In the last 24 hours, Corona rules have been tightened in many parts of the country.
Curfew in Ghaziabad, Bareilly, Meerut, Noida
Seeing the growing threat of corona in Uttar Pradesh, the district administration has directed curfew in Ghaziabad, Bareilly, Meerut and Noida. These instructions will be applicable in Bareilly from 9pm to 6am till April 20. A night curfew will be in place in Ghaziabad from 10 pm to 5 am till April 17. Meerut will also be under curfew till April 18. Curfew was imposed in Prayagraj, Lucknow and Varanasi before these places.
9 days of severe lockdown in 5 districts of Madhya Pradesh
As the infection of Kovid 19 is increasing at an alarming rate, a compulsory lockdown of about 7-9 days has been imposed in 5 districts of Madhya Pradesh. The Kolar area in Bhopal will have a 9-day lockdown from 6 pm on Friday. In addition, lockdown has been ordered in Ratlam, Betul, Katni, Khargone and Chhindwara districts.
Curfew in urban areas in 8 districts of Jammu and Kashmir
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha directed to impose curfew in urban areas of eight districts including Srinagar. The night curfew will start from Friday and will be in force from 10 pm to 6 am. The restrictions will apply to Jammu, Udhampur, Kathua, Srinagar, Baramulla, Budgam, Anantnag and Kupwara.
Curfew also in Rajasthan and Gujarat
Curfew will be imposed in Jaipur, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Jodhpur, Kota, Udaipur, Sagwara, Kushalgarh in Rajasthan from 8 pm to 6 am. So, 20 cities in Gujarat will have curfew from 8 pm to 6 am. These include Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, Junagadh, Gandhinagar, Anand, Nadiad, Mehsana, Morbi, Dahod, Patan, Godhra, Bhuj, Gandhidham, Bharuch, Surendranagar and Amreli.
The situation is no different in Maharashtra
A few days ago, the state government directed a night curfew in view of the increasing prevalence of corona in Maharashtra. In addition, two days of lockdown on Saturday and Sunday are also applicable in the state. In some places, restrictions are being tightened at the local level.
Raipur and Durg in Chhattisgarh are fully complying with the lockdown restrictions. So, the lockdown will be applicable till April 30 in Tamil Nadu.
