New Delhi, Nov 21 (PTI) Taking an aggressive strategy to expand its business in India, Colliers, a leading real estate advisory firm, has decided to hire over 1,000 employees next year.

Colliers India Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ramesh Nair said that next year the company is going to start two new services in January besides hiring about 1,000 new employees in India. This is part of the company’s aggressive strategy to expand in the Indian market.

In an interview to PTI, Nair said that this strategy has been adopted keeping Colliers India among the top three real estate advisory firms in the country in terms of profitability. Nair became the CEO of this company only in July this year.

As head of Colliers India, the Indian subsidiary of Canada-based consulting firm Colliers, Nair said it is important to increase workforce, adopt the right work culture, market your brand, implement innovative technologies and grow your customer base.

Nair said, “We will stick to our strength. We are the largest Project Management Company in the country. Now we need to increase our market share in the Office, Industrial & Warehouse and Capital Market segments.

He said that for this recruitment of new employees at all levels would help.

At present there are around 3,000 employees working in Colliers India. There is a plan to have 1000 new recruitments next year.

The company is also set to launch two new services in January 2022. Although he did not give details, but did say that the company will continue to focus on account management along with business development.

He said that now the real estate sector seems to be recovering to a great extent from the shock of the Kovid-19 epidemic. Apart from the residential sector, signs of improvement are also visible in the office and shopping malls. He said that the pace of Kovid vaccination and the improved economic conditions are strengthening it.
