ABVKY News: Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has extended the Atal Beemit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana. Now people who lost their jobs will get unemployment allowance till 30 June 2022. It is a scheme to provide 50 percent unemployment allowance of the total salary for 3 months to the insured persons who lose their jobs due to any reason.

Extended period till 30 June 2022
The Central Government has decided to extend the scheme of allowance given to the unemployed workers till June next year. In this scheme named Atal Bimit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana, Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) gives unemployment allowance to people who lose their jobs due to any reason.
Decision in Labor Minister’s meeting
This decision has been taken in the 185th meeting of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation under the chairmanship of Union Labor and Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav. It was told in the meeting that the period of Atal Bimit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana has been extended till 30 June 2022. Atal Bimit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana is a scheme to provide unemployment allowance at 50% salary for 3 months to those insured persons who lose their jobs due to any reason.
Due to Corona, this decision has been taken in the 185th meeting of ESIC due to the situation still not coming back on track. The benefit of ABVKY is given to those who have lost their jobs. Under this, the person applying is given financial help or allowance from ESIC (Employee’s State Insurance Corporation). Along with this, the applicant and family also get ESIC cover or medical facility for six months. If a person loses his job, then he can also get his dependents treated with ESIC for the next six months.
