Ashwin can Break Muralitharan Record: Ravichandran Ashwin can Break Muttiah Muralitharan Record; Muttiah Muralitharan 800 Test Wickets and ashwin; Ravichandran Ashwin can break Muttiah Muralitharan’s world record of 800 wickets: Brad Hogg
Former Australia Chinaman spinner Brad Hogg believes that India’s veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin can break the record of 800 Test wickets of the great Muttiah Muralitharan. Ashwin is currently 34 years old and Hogg feels that this off-spinner can play till the age of 42.
Hogg believes that Ashwin is the best off-spinner in the world at the moment as he has performed well under all circumstances. He said- Ashwin is now 34 years old. I think he will play in the Test for maybe 42 years. His batting may fall but with the passage of time he will become more lethal with the ball. I see him taking at least more than 600 Test wickets. He can also break Muttiah Muralitharan’s (800 Test wicket) record. He has the desire to take wickets and always perform better. This is why I like them.
Hogg continued- He also played county cricket to get accustomed to England’s conditions and thus he has been so successful especially in recent years. He is certainly the best off-spinner in the world at the moment, but due to the change in terms and conditions, we cannot call him the greatest off-spinner ever.
The former Australian spinner said that his respect for Ashwin increased after the Australia tour as the right-hander helped India save the Sydney Test match despite battling back injuries. Ashwin does not like being beaten whenever he is in a competition. He is such a bowler, against whom you want to play, because you know that you are going to have an exam.
