Kolkata: After the first phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections, the political climate is heating up. Former cricketer and BJP candidate from West Bengal’s East Medinipur’s Moina assembly constituency Ashok Dinda was attacked on Tuesday. Ashok Dinda had participated in an election campaign. It is said that he was attacked by Trinamool supporters at that time.
According to PTI, Ashok Dinda’s car was attacked by more than fifty people. His car was badly damaged. BJP candidate Ashok Dinda has also been hit on the shoulder and back. Ashok Dinda has alleged that he was attacked by Trinamool Congress supporters. The Election Commission has taken note of the incident and has also called for a report from the district administration.
He attacked Ashok Dinda’s vehicle with sticks, knives and bricks. The allegation made by Ashok Dinda has been refuted by the Trinamool Congress, which has termed it as an internal dispute of the BJP. & Nbsp;
Thursday’s polls for the second phase
For the second phase of West Bengal elections Voting for 30 Assembly seats will take place on Thursday. The future of a total of 171 candidates is at stake. Out of these 171 candidates, 19 candidates are women. The BJP and the ruling Trinamool Congress have fielded candidates for these 30 seats. The CPM has fielded 15 candidates, the Congress 9, the CPI 2 and other constituent parties 2. This is where Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and BJP’s Shubhendu officials are contesting. & Nbsp;
