Arctic Landscape Ice Disappeared: Ice disappeared from arctic in just 105 years, two pictures showed devastation of earth

Helsinki
Arctic ice, which plays an important role in maintaining balance in the Earth’s atmosphere, has become a victim of human greed. This ice is melting rapidly due to climate change and global warming. The signs of Earth’s devastation on the Arctic are now clearly visible. Two photographs taken at an interval of 105 years clearly show how the ice has disappeared from the Arctic region.

Famous photographer Christian Aslund has brought it to the world through his photographs. These pictures have been shared by famous IFS officer Praveen Kaswan on Twitter. He wrote, ‘Arctic region at an interval of 105 years. Both photos were taken in the summer. Have you noticed anything special about it?’ In the first picture, we are able to see very little mountain due to snow, while in the second picture which has been taken after 105 years, only mountains are visible completely.

This comparative study was done in 2003 by Christian Aslund and Greenpeace. The necessary help for these studies was taken from the archives of the Norwegian Polar Institute. On this comparative picture, a user wrote that it slaps your face directly. Another user said that due to the disappearance of the ice, the creatures living there may also have become extinct.

Actually, the biggest impact of climate change is being seen in the Arctic region. The region is warming at twice the rate of the global average. The Arctic ice area has decreased by about 75%. As Arctic ice melts into the ocean, it is creating a new global challenge in nature. On the other hand, this change is opening the North Sea Route (NSR) which connects the North Atlantic Ocean to the North Pacific Ocean through a short polar arc.

It has been estimated in many researches that by the summer of the year 2050, the ice will completely disappear from this route. The biggest problem is that research has revealed that even if climate change slows down, new ice will not form as fast as the ice has melted. NASA is constantly doing research on sea ice. This organization has done research since 1978 and found that there is the least amount of sea ice in September and the highest in March. Although exact figures vary from year to year, the loss of sea ice in the Arctic is increasing every year.
