In just a week, Delhi-NCR has doubled the number of people visiting hospitals or doctors due to pollution. Someone in the family is suffering from problems like breathing problems, phlegm, tightness, burning in the eyes etc.

Apart from Delhi, Local Circles conducted this survey in Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad. These are the cities, which are currently very much troubled by pollution. Local circles had conducted a similar survey in the same cities last week as well. In which 22 percent of the families had told that someone in their place is going to the doctor or hospital due to pollution. It was revealed in the survey that in every five to four families, one or the other is suffering from diseases due to pollution. Now after a polluted week, when this survey was done again in these cities, it was revealed that 86 percent of the households in Delhi NCR are suffering from some or the other pollution related disease. Last week the number was 80 percent. At the end of the second week, 32 percent of the people reported that they had problems like sore throat, phlegm, tightness and burning in the eyes. 7 percent said they had headaches and trouble sleeping.
