100 crore vaccine dose: Shashi Tharoor credits govt for 100-crore COVID vaccine milestone; Pawan Khera says ‘insult’ to families who suffered ‘mismanagement’
There is an atmosphere of celebration in the BJP on the centenary of Corona Vaccination in the country. At the same time, there has been a ruckus in the Congress regarding this. Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said on Thursday that the credit should be given to the central government for the number of corona vaccine doses crossing 100 crores in the country. At the same time, his own party spokesperson Pawan Khera said on this that giving credit to the government is an insult to lakhs of families who suffered due to ‘mismanagement’ during the pandemic.
The number of corona vaccine doses in the country crossed 100 crores on Thursday. The vaccination campaign in the country was started on 16 January. Lok Sabha member Tharoor tweeted on this, ‘It is a matter of pride for all Indian citizens. Give credit to the government.
He also said, “After severe mismanagement and delay in ordering vaccines during the second wave of the Kovid pandemic, the government has now been able to partially compensate.” He is accountable for his earlier failures.
Responding to Tharoor’s tweet, Khera said, “Giving credit to the government is an insult to lakhs of families who suffered due to mismanagement of the COVID pandemic and are still suffering due to its impact.”
He insisted that the Prime Minister should apologize to these families before taking credit. The credit for this goes to the scientists and the medical fraternity.
